I have a box, representing the chassis, and I have 2 more long, thin boxes, representing the landing skids. If I don't attach these 3 objects together, it all works as expected - the skids drop off, hit the floor plane, and if I fly the chassis downwards, it stops nicely on top of the landing skids, with no obvious or excessive penetration.
If I attach 4x ConstraintMaxDistance to the skids, then they 'hang' appropriately from the chassis. However, when I fly the chassis downwards, the skids appear to have become… soft? ghostly? They obviously react to touching the ground plane, but penetrate VERY easily. The chassis continues to collide with the plane.
Am I using the wrong type of constraint, or is this a bug?
Can anyone help me on this? It's been coming up to 2 weeks and I've had no response…
