I'm a jiglibx newbie. So I have been taking a look at car demo sample. I've noticed that the car acceleration can be a value between 0 and 1. So my question is how can you implement a tachometer. Would you take the dot product of forces and on the car with the current direction to get the ratio of acceleration.

All bodies have a Vector3 Velocity property. Like you said, you can get the car's forward velocity by getting the dot product of the base velocity and Vector3.Forward. From there you can collect, say, the last 30 frames to work out the average acceleration.
