I'm just trying to get a grasp on the versatility of this engine, to save myself unnecessary work. It's brilliant at realistic physics, but what about a more simplistic system?
As an example, could I use it to set up a simple sliding system where the players position is marked by a simple always-upright elipsoid (or possibly a capsule), and the level is marked by a static collision mesh? In this event, would I be able to gather things like the various collision positions and normals for the ellipsoid?
I realise I'm talking about using a fully-built car as a shopping-trolly, but I'd rather skip working on triangle-collision math for the moment, and I'm already planning on using jigLib for other things in the game. :)
